Loan a Mower Registration Form

The Irmo Loan a Mower Program is designed to help town residents keep their homes and yards looking great.  The Town is offering electric lawnmowers, leaf blowers and string trimmers to town residents at no cost.

Just register below.  Once we've verified that you are an in-town resident, you can call Town Hall and reserve the equipment of your choice for 24 hours.  If you borrow equipment on a Friday, it is due back Monday morning.

Equipment can be picked up at Town Hall at 8:30 am or 1:00 pm, Monday through Friday.  You will need to be registered as a borrower and make a reservation in order to borrow equipment from the Town.

Please remember - this equipment is for everyone, so please take good care of it and return it within 24 hours so that others may use it.  If the equipment is damaged or not returned, you will be held liable.

 

Town of Irmo – Loan a Mower Program Acknowledgement & Release

By signing below, I acknowledge that I have read, understand, and agree to the rules governing the Town of Irmo “Loan a Mower” Program:

1. Eligibility & Registration

• Equipment (mowers, string trimmers, and blowers) is available only to registered in-town residents.
• Residency may be verified at: https://www.townofirmosc.com/residents/am_i_in_the_town_.php
• Registration must be completed prior to borrowing equipment.

2. Borrowing Procedures

• Borrowers must call 803-781-7050, ext. 107 to schedule pickup.
• Pickup and return times are 8:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. the following day.
• Equipment picked up on Friday must be returned the following Monday at the same time as pickup.
• Only the registered borrower may pick up and return equipment.

3. Responsibility for Equipment

• Borrowers are fully responsible for the care and return of equipment.
• Borrowers are liable for any loss, theft, or damage to the equipment while in their possession, up to the full replacement cost of the item.
• Equipment must be returned in the same condition as received (normal wear and tear excepted).

4. Assumption of Risk & Release

• I understand that lawn and garden equipment is inherently dangerous and may cause injury or property damage if used improperly.
• I agree to operate all equipment safely, follow all instructions, and use the equipment solely for its intended purpose.
• I assume all risks associated with the use of the equipment and accept full responsibility for any injury to myself or others, or damage to property, arising from my use.

5. Hold Harmless & Indemnification

• In consideration of being allowed to borrow equipment, I hereby release, indemnify, and hold harmless the Town of Irmo, its officers, employees, and agents from any and all claims, demands, actions, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising out of or related to my possession, use, or misuse of the equipment.
